Orion Constellation

This feels like the setting from my favorite book FROZEN FIRE by. Tim Bowler ! MUST READ.

The famous Horsehead Nebula is about 1,500 light-years from Earth, in the constellation Orion. The nebula is located just to the south of the star Alnitak, which is farthest east on Orion's Belt, and is part of the much larger Orion Molecular Cloud Complex.

Orion. Its brightest stars are Beta (Rigel -- leg to our right) and Alpha (Betelgeuse -- shoulder to the left), a blue-white and a red supergiant respectively. This image is helpful to see just how reddish Betelgeuse is.

Add Some Beauty: Wish I May, Wish I Might.

Orion Nebula in Oxygen, Hydrogen, and Sulfur Image Credit Copyright: César Blanco González, The Orion Nebula spans about 40 light years and is located about 1500 light years away in the same spiral arm of our Galaxy as the Sun. The Great Nebula in Orion can be found with the unaided eye just below and to the left of the easily identifiable belt of three stars in the popular constellation Orion. The above image shows the nebula in 3 colors specifically emitted by hydrogen, oxygen sulfur gas.

Solar System

#SolarSystem facts : The Solar System consists of the #Sun and the astronomical objects gravitationally bound in orbit around it, all of which formed from the collapse of a giant molecular cloud approximately 4.6 billion years ago. 99.86% of the system’s mass is in the Sun.
